Poem : A Glimpse Of You

I have been tirelessly striving,
To vanquish this overwhelming emotion,
And now I am discovering,
How to relinquish this burning desire.

The hugs we once shared,
Dreams now in tatters,
Your soothing words, now mere memories,
Console me no more.

I lament for the moments when thoughts of you consume me,
Fully aware that you are a dream forever out of my reach,
I hold dear the precious memories we wove together,
And weep for the exquisite moments left in the past.

But how can I ever find the courage,
To accept what you are offering…
“Just friends” that’s what you want us to be.
When just a glimpse of you,
And I am Stuck deeper.
